Early Interest
My journey into the world of photography began unexpectedly during my college years in Romania. With just a simple point-and-shoot camera, I found joy in capturing moments at birthday parties and school events. At that time, photography was purely a hobby. Little did I know, it would one day become a central part of my life.
Coming from a small town without a photography program available, I chose to pursue engineering — a field far removed from my creative interests. After graduating, I struggled to find a job in my hometown, as most employers were looking for candidates with experience. Then, an opportunity arose that changed everything. A friend in the UK told me about a photography position at Halesowen Audi, where he worked. The idea of moving to a new country to pursue photography professionally was daunting, yet exciting. After careful thought, I decided to take the plunge and relocate to the UK. This decision marked the start of my career as a professional photographer. At Halesowen Audi, I had the chance to photograph amazing cars and, more importantly, discovered that photography was my true passion.
Learning and Development
In the early days of my career, I relied heavily on YouTube and Google to teach myself the essentials of photography. Without formal training or a mentor, I started from scratch with an entry-level Nikon D5200 (which got stolen later but this is a story for another time). Every challenge became an opportunity to learn, and I gradually improved my skills through trial and error. My dedication to learning and commitment to excellence guided me through the toughest moments.
Challenges and Breakthroughs
One of my biggest early challenges was understanding the light and mastering manual mode to achieve that perfect exposure. It was a steep learning curve, and at times, incredibly frustrating. However, with persistence and practice, I eventually got the hang of it, gaining confidence in my technical abilities. The creativity I brought to each shot also helped me push boundaries and develop my unique style.
Professional Transition
While working full-time at Audi, I was offered an exciting opportunity to photograph nightlife events on weekends. This side gig allowed me to experiment, expand my portfolio, and grow as a photographer. It was during this period that I decided to pursue photography full-time.
To make the leap into professional photography, I invested in better equipment and attended workshops and social events to network with other creatives (networking played a key role here). These experiences were invaluable in honing my skills and building a professional portfolio. Through it all, my dedication to achieving excellence in every shot remained a driving force.

Today, I am a portrait photographer based in Birmingham, specializing in Portraits, Business Headshots, Commercial Photography, Events, and E-commerce Photography. While I enjoy all types of photography, my main focus is on Portraits, Business Headshots, and Commercial Photography.

Staying updated with the latest trends and techniques is essential to my growth as a photographer. My core values — dedication, creativity, and excellence — remain at the heart of everything I do, ensuring that every image I create is both impactful and professionally crafted.
As a commercial and portrait photographer in Birmingham, I am committed to providing high-quality, professional photography services that truly capture the essence of my subjects. Whether you need portraits, business headshots, or commercial photography, I strive to deliver results that exceed expectations.
Reflecting on my journey, I am deeply grateful for the experiences and challenges that have shaped me into the photographer I am today. From those early days in Romania with a point-and-shoot camera to my current specialization in portrait and commercial photography, every step has been a valuable learning experience. At the end of the day, it’s not about the camera in your hand—it’s about the passion you bring to every shot. And if you’re ever in need of a photographer, remember that I’m here to make your moments unforgettable. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll be capturing your story through my lens! (And hey, if you ever need car photography, I’ve still got some Audi tricks up my sleeve!)
